PermaHaven™ — Patent Pending Building System

PermaHaven™ — Patent
Pending Building System.

A platform-based building system that brings engineering, manufacturing, construction, and long-term performance together into one repeatable process

What is PermaHaven™?

Not a product. A platform.

PermaHaven™ is not one material, one feature, or one upgrade. It is SteelHaven's integrated approach to residential construction. The system coordinates the parts of the home that usually get treated separately: structure, air sealing, insulation, slab strategy, ventilation, sequencing, and inspection readiness.

Patent Pending

One proprietary system. Three ways it matters.

PermaHaven™ is SteelHaven's patent-pending building system: a cold-formed steel, factory-panelized structure, a high-performance envelope, and a documented installation sequence that repeats home after home.

"Patent pending" means SteelHaven has filed a patent application for the system with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. It is under review and has not yet been granted.

For buyers

A steel structure that won't warp, rot, or feed termites, wrapped in continuous insulation and sealed tight. Fewer construction variables means fewer surprises after move-in.

For trades

Panels arrive factory-assembled and labeled. You install a defined scope in a defined sequence: no field framing, no redesign, no guesswork.

below the floor.

The PermaHaven™ sub-slab approach is designed to help passively mitigate soil gas before it enters the home while also contributing to thermal insulation, vapor control, and air sealing strategy.

One material. Multiple performance benefits.

Buyer clarity

The point is not a single test. The point is the system.

SteelHaven does not claim that any home is radon-free. Testing is still the only way to know the radon level in a specific home at a specific time.

The point is that SteelHaven designs the home to manage risk earlier, below the slab, inside the envelope, and through balanced ventilation.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes PermaHaven™ different?

+

PermaHaven™ coordinates engineering, manufacturing, construction, and performance into one repeatable system, instead of leaving each home to field-built variability.

Why cold-formed steel?

+

Steel framing holds tighter tolerances than wood, doesn't warp, rot, or attract termites, and won't shrink or swell with moisture over time. That precision is what lets PermaHaven™ be manufactured and assembled the same way, home after home, instead of re-solved on-site each time.

Is it more expensive?

+

Costs vary by project and site. PermaHaven™ isn't built to be the cheapest option — it's built to reduce the hidden costs that usually come from delays, field errors, and rework, so the total cost of ownership is more predictable over time.

How is it insulated?

+

The building envelope combines continuous exterior insulation with closed-cell spray foam for air sealing, paired with an insulated slab strategy below grade. Together they create a tighter, more consistent envelope than typical batt-insulation framing.

What does Patent Pending mean?

+

SteelHaven has filed a patent application covering the PermaHaven™ system with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. "Patent Pending" means the application is under review — it has not yet been granted.
